BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG consortium has announced gas flow nominations for its primary interconnections, as reported by Trend.
On October 21, the Kipoi interconnection in Greece is scheduled to receive 383,473,291 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of gas, with an additional 29,000,000 kWh planned for October 22. The Komotini interconnection shows exit nominations of 31,670,675 kWh and entry nominations of 3,000,000 kWh for October 21. Similarly, the Nea Mesimvria interconnection has reported an exit nomination of 30,546,301 kWh and an entry of 3,000,000 kWh for the same date.
Meanwhile, the Melendugno interconnection has recorded exit nominations of 324,956,315 kWh on October 21, with another 29,000,000 kWh scheduled for the following day.
As a vital component of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP significantly enhances Europe’s energy security by diversifying supply sources and supporting the transition toward decarbonization. With an annual transport capacity of around 10 billion cubic meters (bcm), TAP has the potential to expand to 20 bcm, offering a dependable natural gas supply that strengthens Europe’s access to sustainable and diversified energy sources.
