Dutch company downgrades inflation forecast in Azerbaijan for 2024

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 3. The analysts of the Netherlands-based ING forecast average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in 2024 at 1.1 percent (1.6 percent in the previous forecast), Trend reports.

According to ING's forecast, average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in 2025 will amount to 3.8 percent (unchanged), and in 2026 to 4.2 percent (unchanged).

Meanwhile, the UN forecasts average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 5.9 percent in 2024 and 3.9 percent in 2025, the ADB forecasts 5.5 percent in 2024 and 6.5 percent in 2025, and the WB forecasts 2.2 percent in 2024 and 2.3 percent in 2025.

To note, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan forecasts annual inflation in the country in 2024 at a level of 5–5.5 percent.
