ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 3. Since the beginning of the year, 946.2 thousand tons of liquefied gas have been transported in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.

According to the Kazakhstan Railways National Company, this is an 8 percent (or 72 thousand tons) increase compared to the same period last year.

In particular, 4.7 thousand tons were transported to the West Kazakhstan region, 121 thousand tons to the Aktobe region, 61.6 thousand tons to the Zhambyl region, and 30 thousand tons to the North Kazakhstan region.

Kazakhstan Railways operates a round-the-clock headquarters for the transportation of petroleum products, ensuring that the movement of railcars is under special control. Separate dispatchers have been assigned for the movement of loaded and empty cars, ensuring the regulatory turnover of rolling stock.

Additionally, starting from December 2023, the company has implemented an order aimed at collaborating with railcar operators to prioritize the passage of tank cars carrying liquefied gas, ensuring timely delivery and removal of railcars from access tracks, as well as maintaining a reserve of empty tankers at oil refineries.
