BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. The Banks of Kyrgyzstan generated record-high net profits from January through November 2022, Trend reports referring to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.
According to preliminary data, the total net profits of commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan in the first 11 months of this year 2022 amounted to 21.7 billion soms ($253.6 million), which is more than a fivefold increase over the same period in 2021 (3.9 billion soms, or $45.9 million)
"The amount of profit received during the reportin period is a record for the entire history of Kyrgyzstan. Meanwhile, the total net profits of Kyrgyz banks in 2020 amounted to 2.3 billion soms ($27.2 million), and in 2019 - 3 billion soms ($35.5 million)," the message said.
As of December 22, 2022, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan is 85,67 KGS/1 USD.
