BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Tajikistan's Sughd region increased exports of goods from January through September 2022, Trend reports with reference to the sugdnews.com.
The value of exports from Tajikistan's Sughd region in the first 9 months increased by 91.1 percent over the same period in 2021 ($414.7 million) - up to $792.7 million.
During this period, goods worth $1.5 billion were imported into Sughd region, which is an increase of 26.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Notably, this year, entrepreneurs of the region have taken first steps in the export of eggs and chicken meat: from January through September 2022 a total of 10.9 million eggs were exported from the Sughd region for $981,000 and 23 tons of chicken meat worth $34,500.
Moreover, in the first 9 months of this year 1,089 tons of clothes were exported from the region to foreign markets in the amount of $16.8 million, which is an increase of 15.8 percent over the same period in 2021 ($14.5 million).
