A two-day training workshop organized by the Turkmen Parliament and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has begun work in the Akhal region, Turkmen media outlets reported on Friday.
The forum is attended by MPs, specialists of a number of organizations, the administration from the Akhal region of the country's central region - including regional educational institutions, health, social security, educational and industrial enterprises, representatives of public organizations, and the UNICEF regional office in Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan joined the Convention on the Rights of Children, Persons with Disabilities, and its Optional Protocol.
In accordance with the signed international documents and given the main priorities of state policy in this field, improvement of national legislation is underway in Turkmenistan.
Workshop participants stand for further strengthening of a constructive partnership. Similar meetings will be held throughout all regions in the country.
