TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 18. The volume of trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Pakistan reached $254.6 million in the period from January through July 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that this is a 22.2 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, when the trade turnover amounted to $208.2 million.
Thus, Pakistan has become one of the 20 largest trade partners of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan's exports of goods to Pakistan totaled $185 million, which is 51.6 percent more compared to last year ($122 million from January through July 2023).
Furthermore, Uzbekistan's imports from Pakistan reached $69.6 million from January through July 2024. This figure decreased by 23.8 percent compared to the same period last year ($86.2 million from January through July 2023).
To note, Uzbekistan's total trade turnover amounted to $36.8 billion from January through July 2024. This indicator increased by 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year ($34.9 billion from January through July 2023).
The country's exports hit $14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports totaled $22 billion.
