Italian Ambassador to Iran Alberto Bradanini will be summoned to the Iranian parliament in the case of Iranian journalist Hamid Masouminejad, who was jailed in Rome on charges of arms trafficking, Parliamentary Foreign Policy and National Security Commission Chairman Alladin Boroujerdi was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.
Boroujerdi added that the meeting with Bradanini will take place Wednesday afternoon, and the sides will discuss the current situation in Masouminejad's arrest.
Masouminejad was arrested in early March during raids by the Italian police to detain persons suspected of smuggling weapons to Iran.
