BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 22. A total of 61.2 billion euros is budgeted for imports in Iran's state budget for the next Iranian year (from March 21, 2025, through March 20, 2026), the draft budget submitted by the Iranian government to the parliament said, Trend reports.
Iran's state budget will allocate 34.7 billion euros for
equipment, materials, raw materials, and spare parts next year.
The state budget plans to allocate 11 billion euros for the import
of medicines, raw materials for medicine production, medical
devices, and milk powder (for children).
The state budget sets aside 2.3 billion euros for cell phone imports, 1.8 billion euros for cars, 1.4 billion euros for trucks, 900 million euros for gold bars, and 9.1 billion euros for other products.
To note, Iran primarily focuses on importing necessary goods that the country needs and has imposed certain restrictions on imports of products manufactured within the country.
Iran imported non-oil products worth $32.6 billion during six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024).
