BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistani Army Chief of Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir during his visit to Islamabad, Trend reports, citing the Iranian MFA.
The meeting included an exchange of views on the ceasefire between Iran and the U.S., the cessation of military airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, as well as the strengthening of peace and stability in West Asia.
Araghchi welcomed the valuable efforts of the Pakistani state, especially the Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, to restore the ceasefire and end the war, and expressed Iran's position in this regard.
During the meeting, Munir also expressed his gratitude to the Iranian side for trusting Pakistan in advancing the diplomatic process and noted the country's readiness to continue its mediation efforts until the achievement of a result.

On April 21, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he extended the ceasefire until Iran submits its proposal and discussions are concluded, one way or the other.
