Azerbaijani president, his spouse attend official reception
An official reception has been held at the Heydar Aliyev Center to mark the 93rd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev and 71st anniversary of Victory over fascism.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony. President Aliyev delivered a speech.

Azerbaijan names priority areas for development of relations with Qatar
Azerbaijan is ready to develop relations with Qatar in the spheres of trade, industry, as well as agriculture, ICT, tourism and others, Niyazi Safarov, Azerbaijani deputy economy minister, said at the Azerbaijani-Qatari business meeting. Safarov noted that the countries have a good base for development of the trade turnover.

President Aliyev talks agriculture, alternative energy co-op with Dutch delegation
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands Henk Kamp. The sides exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, environment and alternative energy.
US companies eyeing participation in East-West project
The US companies are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the transportation sector, in particular on the East-West multimodal corridor, the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta said. The ambassador, who took part in the 15th Anniversary International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition and the 4th Caspian International Road Infrastructure and Public Transport Exhibition in Baku, said the exhibitions are another proof of economic diversification and development of Azerbaijan. Cekuta also said the US Wavetronix, specializing in the intelligent transport management, is also participating in the exhibitions.
French companies invest $2.4B in Azerbaijan's economy
French companies in total invested $2.4 billion in Azerbaijan's economy, said Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijani economy minister during the meeting with Marie-Ange Debon, co-chairperson of Azerbaijan-France Business Council and senior executive vice-president of the SUEZ Group. Mustafayev said that currently, more than 40 companies with French capital operate in Azerbaijan. The minister invited French companies to invest in the spheres of agriculture, transport, construction, aviation, tourism, high technologies, ecology and others, in particular, in the projects implemented in private sector.

Azerbaijan's president: Dagestan always was and will be native land for us
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by head of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation Ramazan Abdulatipov.
President Aliyev said that Dagestan always was and will be a native land for Azerbaijani people. He further underlined that Azerbaijan-Dagestan brotherhood played a vital role in the development of the bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which the two countries regard as strategic. During the meeting they also exchanged views over different areas of cooperation.
Azerbaijani, Dagestani investment companies sign agreement
The Agency for Entrepreneurship and Investment of Russia's Dagestan and Azerbaijan's Caspian Invest Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement in Baku. The document was signed by the head of the Dagestani agency, Bashir Magomedov and head of the Caspian Invest Ltd., Aydin Huseynov. During an Azerbaijani-Russian business meeting in Baku the Caspian Invest Ltd. commercial director Namig Rahimli said the company will build a greenhouse complex, a logistics center and a trade house in Dagestan.

President Aliyev receives delegation led by Bulgarian FM
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Daniel Mitov. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views over the expansion of opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, tourism, information and communication technologies and other areas.
Azerbaijan joins 'Viking' railway project
Azerbaijan has signed a protocol on the Azerbaijan Railways' joining the international railway project 'Viking', the Azerbaijan Railways spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said.
Baku hosted a meeting of companies participating in the Viking container train project.
Representatives of the Azerbaijan Railways, ADY Express Ltd., railway agencies of Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, as well as the rail freight transporters of Bulgaria and Romania, and other operators of the project took part in the meeting.
The piggyback 'Viking' train project was launched in 2003. The project's participants are Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Bulgaria.

President Aliyev receives delegation led by Iranian Minister of Agriculture
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Hojjati.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views over investment in the field of agriculture between the two countries, the establishment of joint ventures and other issues.
