Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed the information on Armenian citizens' death in Guatemala, News.am reported.
"The Foreign Ministry is taking steps to transfer the Armenian citizens' dead bodies to Armenia, Spokesperson for Armenian MFA Tigran Balayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, two citizens of Armenia were shot dead in Guatemala.
Unknown shot the Armenian citizens David and Manvel Maloyans, who worked as coaches in athletics in Guatemala on August 9.
The criminals attacked Maloyans when they were leaving the building of Guatemalan federation of athletics. David Maloyan, 30 and his father Manvel Maloyan, 60 died at hospital.
Police have not yet put forward versions about possible motives for the attack on the coaches.
