Presidents of Georgia and Latvia, Mikheil Saakashvili and Andris Berzins signed a protocol on avoidance of double taxation and tax evasion on income and capital in Riga. Saakashvili is in Latvia with a two-day state visit.
In addition, the economy ministers of both countries signed an agreement on deepening Georgian-Latvian economic relations.
As the presidential administration said, Latvia and Georgia maintain an intensive political dialogue. Latvia supports Georgia in carrying out reforms. In the first half of last year, Latvian-Georgian trade turnover totalled 7.21 million euro.
