Egyptian security forces late Thursday raided the Cairo mosque where corpses of protesters killed in Wednesday's clashes were being held prior to release for burial, dpa reported.
Private television channel CBC showed riot police in control of the mosque and surrounding areas and corpses wrapped in shrouds being carried out of the mosque and placed in ambulances.
"Police forces are surrounding the Iman mosque in Makram Obeid, which is full of the martyr's bodies and their families," the Muslim Brotherhood website stated.
