BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. The figure for the number of passengers arriving at Türkiye's Mugla Dalaman Airport in August 2024 increased by 8 percent year-on-year to 3.9 million in August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry shows that in August 2024, the airport's passenger turnover on domestic flights increased by nine percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 1.3 million people, and on international flights - by eight percent and amounted to 2.6 million people.
The airport's cargo traffic in August 2024 was 47,545 tons, an increase of ten percent over the same period in 2023. The airport's cargo traffic on domestic flights increased by 6 percent over the same period in 2023 to 11,176 tons, and cargo traffic on international flights increased by 11 percent over the same period to 36,369 tons.
According to the information, the number of flights from the airport in August 2024 increased by four percent compared to August 2023 and amounted to 33,080. Meanwhile, the number of domestic flights increased by five percent and amounted to 16,489, while the number of flights to international destinations increased by four percent and amounted to 16,591.
The passenger traffic at all airports of Türkiye in August this year amounted to 154.7 million people, and cargo - 3.2 million tons.
To note, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye in 2023 amounted to 117.9 million people and cargo traffic amounted to 2.4 million tons.
