French President Nicolas Sarkozy addressed a message to his Turkmen Counterpart Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov. In message the president says that he is "pleased at the prospect to visit Turkmenistan."
Date of visit is discussed through the diplomatic channels.
Moreover, Sarkozy stressed that "your official visit to France dated Feb.1-2, has greatly enhanced the political, cultural and economic relations between our countries. The talks at the Elysee Palace and your visit to the Senate were significant moments in the history of the France -Turkmenistan political relations."
The French president also stressed that he welcomes a common desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation in certain areas such as energy, infrastructure, tourism, construction and communications.
"The agreements that signed during your visit demonstrate a new richness of our relations," the message says.
Sarkozy said the formation of the working group on energy cooperation, as well as the mixed commission on economic cooperation, will coordinate the development of relations. "Finally, our partnership in the energy field will be enhanced by the efforts made by the French companies on the exploitation and export of rich hydrocarbon resources of Turkmenistan."
"In this context I am particularly pleased at the prospect to visit your country - the date of the visit being discussed between our foreign ministries."
