Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 Dec/ Trend corr R. Ergun/ Foreign judges will not be invited to Azerbaijan's football Premier League.
"We do not plan to invite judges from abroad. We have high performance local judges. We should trust them. By inviting judges from abroad, we deal a strong blow to reputation of our football," Khahani Mammadov, chairman of the Committee of Judges of Azerbaijan, said.
He said foreign judges also make mistakes.
"A Swiss judge invited several years ago to the "gold match" between Neftchi and Khazar-Lankaran clubs made a mistake which had a direct impact on results of the match. At the same time Neftchi's second goal did not meet regulations. In the second half of the match the judge must have shown Neftchi player Rashad Sadigov a yellow card," Mammadov added.
"As many as 48 judges, two operators, two teachers and two doctors will leave for Ankara for training. The judges of a second round of the Premier League will be selected as a result of the training," Mammadov added.
