BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. The number of passengers arriving at Milas-Bodrum International Airport, located in Mugla (Türkiye), increased by 5 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 3.7 million people in September 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure said, Trend reports.
The ministry also stated that domestic passenger traffic at the airport increased by 6 percent compared to September 2023, totaling 2.2 million people, while international passenger traffic grew by 8 percent, reaching 1.7 million people in the same month.
In September this year, Milas-Bodrum International Airport's cargo volume reached 40,205 tons, marking a 6 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Additionally, the airport's cargo volume for domestic flights rose by 3 percent compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 17,288 tons. For international flights, it saw a 9 percent increase, totaling 22,917 tons.
According to the report, the number of flights from the airport in September 2024 went up by 5 percent, amounting to 35,116. Domestic flights totaled 19,244, while international flights grew by 11 percent, reaching 15,872.
Passenger traffic across all airports in Türkiye reached 177.1 million people, with cargo turnover at 3.7 million tons in September 2024.
Overall, in 2023, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports was 117.9 million people, and cargo turnover was 2.4 million tons.
