BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. A total of 72,600 tons of aluminum and by-products worth $197.2 million were exported from Azerbaijan last year.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Customs Committee shows that this is $4 million (2 percent) less in value and 1,800 tons (2.5 percent) lower in volume compared to the figures of 2023.
The export of aluminum and by-products accounted for 0.74 percent of the country's total exports and 5.88 percent of non-oil exports last year.
Meanwhile, as much as $173.6 million worth of aluminum and by-products were imported to Azerbaijan last year, which is $34 million (24.4 percent) more than a year earlier.
Importing aluminum and by-products accounted for 0.82 percent of the country's total imports last year.
