BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The volume of credit investments in the East Zangazur economic region as of April 1, 2025, amounted to 10.4 million manat ($6.1 million), increasing by 384,000 manat ($225,882), or 3.8 percent, compared to the previous month.

According to the data, the average interest rate for these investments was 16.46 percent. Of the total, 9.7 million manat ($5.7 million) were allocated in the national currency, while 698,000 manat ($410,588) were in freely convertible currency.
Meanwhile, in the Karabakh economic region, the volume of credit investments reached 481.3 million manat ($283.1 million) as of April 1, 2025, marking an increase of 4.2 million manat ($2.4 million), or 0.9 percent, compared to the previous month, and 65.3 million manat ($38.4 million), or 15.7 percent, compared to the same period last year.
The average interest rate for these investments was 19.31 percent. Of the total, 479.9 million manat ($282.2 million) were allocated in the national currency, and 1.4 million manat ($823.5 million) were in freely convertible currency.
The overall volume of credit investments in Azerbaijan's regions increased by 284.8 million manat ($167.5 million), or 1 percent, compared to the previous month, and by 3.8 billion manat ($2.2 million), or 15.7 percent, compared to the same period in 2024, reaching a total of 27.9 billion manat ($16.4 million).
