An international conference on investment opportunities in Khouzestan Province was held in capital city of Ahvaz on Thursday.
Iran's first vice president stated at this gathering that Khouzestan is an outstanding and unique place for investment, IRINN news network reported.
Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said that this province has numerous advantages including a distinct location, access to international waterways, interaction and proximity to populated areas.
He added that this province has other places including Arvand free economic zone and Mahshahr special economic zone and 30 percent of the country's water resources creating an exceptional position for development.
The Iranian official further added that no other region in the area has the total accumulation of qualities gathered in Khouzestan.
In this summit 650 domestic and international firms, including foreign companies belonging to Iranian nationals residing abroad, expressed their interest to invest in this province.
Private sector investors from Germany, South Africa, the UAE, Bahrain, Pakistan, Turkey, China, Russia, Hungary, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Iraq, Qatar, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan took part in this one-day summit.
