The law "On appraisal activity", which sets the legal, economic, and organizational basis for appraisal activity, and regulates relations for implementing appraisal activity, will come into force in Turkmenistan in 2012.
This document was signed by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov. Appraisal activity is a business activity carried out to establish assessment costs.
The subjects being appraised are the appraisers themselves, Turkmen business entities conducting the appraisal activity, and customers.
The appraisal may be compulsory and or based on initiative.
State regulation in appraisal activity in Turkmenistan is carried out by the country's Cabinet of Ministers and by specially authorized bodies.
