Currency trading sharply decreases at Kazakh Stock Exchange

The volume of foreign currency trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap operations, decreased by 43.8 percent and amounted to 25.03 trillion Kazakh tenges in January-August 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015, said the message on KASE website.

The volume of foreign currency trading in US dollar equivalent decreased by 69.8 percent to $71.77 billion in this period.
In total, trading volume on KASE amounted to 66.5 trillion tenges in January-August 2016, which is by 12 percent more than in the same period of 2015.The trading volume in US dollar equivalent decreased by 38.8 percent to $192.61 billion in this period.
