Textile Technopark to appear in Uzbekistan next year

Uzbekistan's Textile Technopark, which is being realized together with South Korea, will be commissioned in 2018, JSC Uzbekengylsanoat reported.

To discuss the implementation of the project on creation of Textile Technopark in Tashkent, the Uzbek delegation visited South Korea and held talks with representatives of the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH).

The parties agreed that the Korean side will start supplying technological and laboratory equipment, while the Uzbek side will begin customs clearance of the equipment supplied.

The installation of the supplied equipment will begin in March 2018. Construction and installation work will be completed by mid-2018 and the Technopark will be commissioned in September 2018.

The Korean side noted the importance of selecting engineers and technicians until mid-February 2018 for training in parallel with the installation of the equipment.

JSC Uzbekengylsanoat this year implemented 34 investment projects on modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of existing and newly-created enterprises.

The total cost of projects was $ 356.9 million, their export potential - $ 151.7 million.

Among the largest projects realized in 2017 is the creation of the Marjan Investment Group textile complex in Andijan. Its production capacity at the first stage was 37 million square meters of dyed yarn.

Another project is the organization of the production of sewing and knitted products in the Akdarya district of the Samarkand region on the basis of LLC "March 8". Its production capacity is two million ready-made garments and knitwear products per year.
