Iranian Railways adds extra train on Ahvaz-Tehran route

The deputy head of Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (RAI) Saeed Rasouli has announced that an extra train has been added to the Ahvaz–Tehran route, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Also, he said that four extra trains have been added to the Mashhad–Tehran railway route, to offer services to pilgrims.

The official noted that passengers who are were to ride on cancelled trains, can refund their tickets.

Referring to the Tehran – North route, he noted that the railway in Savadkoh – Zirab has been damaged by the flood and landslides.

"The passengers of Tehran- North train have been transferred to Pol-e Sefid by train and to Sari by bus and then to Gorgan by train," he added.

Heavy rainfall on the Zirab – Pole Sefid route has led to halt of trains transportation in north of Iran. The flood has inflicted damages in Golestan, Fars, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces.
