About 11,450 cars were imported to Azerbaijan in January-March. It is 13.4 percent more than the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total value of imported cars amounted to about $104.48 million, or 28.4 percent more than in January-March 2010.
During the report period, 934 trucks were imported to Azerbaijan, or 5.7 percent less than the January-March last year. The total value of imported cars totaled about $16.5 million, or 24.1 percent less than last year.
The republic imported 179 buses, or 22.5 percent less than in January-March 2010. Buses worth $8.85 million were imported in January-March, or 23.7 percent less than the same period last year.
Some 233 trucks were produced in Azerbaijan, which is more by 79.2 times compared to January-March 2010. During this period, about 89 cars were produced, which is less by 33.6 percent compared to January-March 2010.
