Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s government does not intend to increase the price of gasoline during the current solar year, despite approval of the parliament, Sharq newspaper reported.

In the current solar year's (started on March 21) budget, the Iranian government should raise the fuel prices (Oil-gas and other energy carriers) for the current year by 38 percent. The gasoline price should be increased to 10,000 Rials (about $0.40 based on the USD rate at the Foreign Exchange Center, 24,790 rials for each USD).

The Ahmadinejad government should have increased fuel prices to bring in some (388 trillion rials) $15.65 billion income for current solar year.

However, three months from the beginning of the current year, the Iranian government hasn't changed the fuel prices, causing Iran's president-elect Hassan Rohani's government to miss half of the income of fuel price increase.

Rohani will take office in a few weeks.

The Research Center of Islamic Consultative Assembly predicted a (650 trillion rials) $26.2 billion deficit in current year's budget, while the amount of deficit in last solar year's budget was above $28 billion (based of USD rate in Foreign Exchange center).

The official USD rate in Iran for last solar year was counted based on 12, 260 rials for each USD, but for current yearly budget this figure set at 24, 790 rials per each USD.
