Azerbaijan imported 46,840 mobile phones and other mobile devices worth $4.424 million in January 2018, the country’s State Statistics Committee told Trend March 16.
The number of mobile phones imported by the country increased by nearly 85.4 percent in January 2018 compared to 25,267 mobile phones in January 2017. In terms of value, the figure also increased by over 2.1 times.
It was earlier reported that Azerbaijan imported over 819,000 mobile phones and other mobile devices worth over $69 million in 2017.
The number of mobile phones imported by the country increased by over 77 percent in 2017 compared to 461,938 mobile phones in 2016. In terms of value, the figure also increased by 65.6 percent.
