At the 12th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition BakuTel 2006, Cisco Systems Company will be presented with its vice-presidents, Azerbaijan`s Telecommunications and information Technologies Ministry told Trend today.
President of Cisco Systems and its Executive Director John T. Chambers came for the first time to Azerbaijan with one-day visit at the end of June 2006. Azerbaijan is the second country he visited after Russia in the space of the former Soviet Union.
Such large-scale leading IT corporations like Microsoft, HP, Siemens, Alcatel, Huawei, Oracle, and many other ones are also expected to be presented at the same level as Cisco Systems will be at the exhibition.
The fact that large-scale international and foreign companies send their presidents and vice-presidents to the exhibition speaks about a huge interest world leading IT producers and designers shows toward Azerbaijan`s IT market, the Ministry pointed out.
It is for the first time when the exhibition to be held in the Heydar Aliyev sports and Concert Complex on October 3-6 will be held under the protection of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
On the whole, 120 companies from 20 countries are expected to participate at BakuTel 2006, with the exposition area`s extending on 50 per cent versus BakuTel 2005.
In addition, the American delegation to consist of 15 companies is expected to come to participate at the exhibition. The conference on the subject Special Economic Zones a New Trend in the Stable Development of Azerbaijan`s Economy will be held within the exhibition
