BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 18. UK-based logistics company FS Mackenzie intends to transport cargoes through the Middle Corridor to Europe, the director of FS Mackenzie, Andrei Gorbatov told Trend.
“British logistics company FS Mackenzie has been strengthening its positions in the Caucasus since 2012. Having opened its first office in Tbilisi, the company quickly established active logistics operations with Azerbaijan through its Georgian branch. Two years ago, FS Mackenzie expanded its presence by opening its own office in Baku,” he said.
According to him, even though the Azerbaijani office is still small, the company is steadily increasing volumes and sees significant potential for further growth in this market.
“FS Mackenzie pays special attention to the development of transport routes via the so-called Middle Corridor, which is becoming a key link for cargo transit between China, Central Asia, Europe, and the Caucasus. This railroad route, which passes through Azerbaijan and Georgia, is actively gaining momentum. We have successfully tested it in the last six months and continue to send containers, as well as carry out transportation of consolidated cargo for the markets of Georgia and Azerbaijan,” Gorbatov noted.
