Kazakhstan sees increase in number of registered vehicles

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 15. Circa 157,900 vehicles were registered in Kazakhstan in November 2023, which is 1.4 times more than in the same period last year, Trend reports.

Citing data from the country's Bureau of National Statistics, the number of buses climbed 1.9 times, trucks increased 1.3 times, and passenger cars increased 1.5 times.

As of December 1, Kazakhstan has 5.26 million registered vehicles, with 88 percent being passenger cars, 9.9 percent being trucks, and 2.1 percent being buses.

Concurrently, of the total number of registered passenger cars, the largest share (44.8 percent) are passenger cars with an engine capacity of 1,500 to 2,000 cubic centimeters, with engine capacity up to 1,500 cubic centimeters (18.5 percent), with engine capacity from 2,000 to 2,500 cubic centimeters (17.3 percent), with engine capacity from 2,500 to 4,000 cubic centimeters (15.1 percent), and over 4,000 cubic meters (1.9 percent).

Among trucks, the largest share falls on trucks with an engine capacity of over 4,000 cubic centimeters (71.3 percent of the total number of registered trucks).
