Kazakhstan, Armenia sign roadmap for trade, economic cooperation

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 15. Kazakhstan and Armenia have signed a roadmap for trade and economic cooperation between the governments of the countries for 2024-2025, Trend reports.

The signing of the document took place as part of the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Yerevan (Armenia).

Also, the parties signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of migration, an agreement on travel and the procedure for the stay of citizens, as well as a protocol on amendments and additions to the agreement on international road transport dated November 6, 2006.

In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the aviation authorities of the two countries and a memorandum between the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia on cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.

To note, the President of Kazakhstan is on a one-day visit to Yerevan. During the visit, Tokayev has met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and a meeting is also planned with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Armenia in 2023 amounted to $53 million. The structure of trade turnover is dominated by exports to Armenia, worth $33.3 million. Kazakh imports from Armenia for the above period amounted to $19.7 million.
