BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 12. Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $1.16 billion in January 2024, an increase of 36.8 percent from January 2023, Trend reports.
According to Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee, export
deliveries were $181.3 million, a 46.6 percent increase over the
previous year. Meanwhile, imports were $987.5 million, up 35.1
percent from the same time previous year.
Kyrgyzstan's trade with Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member
states was $278.3 million, a 4 percent fall from January 2023.
During this time, Kyrgyzstan's EAEU trade was dominated by Russia
(70 percent) and Kazakhstan (27.6 percent).
Furthermore, external trade with countries outside the EAEU amounted to $890.5 million, an increase of 1.6 times compared to January 2023.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $15.660 billion in 2023, a 29.9 percent increase over 2022 ($12.057 billion). The country's exports amounted to $3.308 billion, up 46.8 percent year-on-year ($2.254 billion in 2022). Imports to Kyrgyzstan reached $12.352 billion, which is an increase of 26 percent from $9.803 billion in 2022.
