BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 7. The production volume in Kyrgyzstan's mining sector amounted to 43.503 billion som (about $505 million) from January through September this year, Trend reports via Kyrgyzstan's National Committee of Statistics.
According to the information, the physical volume of production decreased by 0.7 percent compared to January-September last year.
The output of mining products totaled 6.207 billion soms ($72 million) in September, with physical volume up 13.7 percent compared to September 2023.
The Statistics Committee reports that during the first nine months of 2023, the production of metal ores decreased by 2.6 percent, while the production of crude oil and natural gas decreased by 0.6 percent.
Meanwhile, the production of other minerals increased by 25.4 percent and hard and brown coal (lignite) by five percent.
To note, Kyrgyzstan produced industrial products worth 393.581 billion soms ($4.5 billion) in January-September 2024. The physical volume against January-September 2023 increased by 4.2 percent.
