BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $30.7 million last week, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
Entrepreneurs from the Azerbaijan, Poland, UAE, Afghanistan, Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan purchased liquefied gas and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex on the exchange.
Businessmen from the UAE, Türkiye and UK purchased cotton yarn in the amount of 30.2 million Turkmen manats ($8.6 million).
Representatives of the business circles of Turkmenistan purchased high-density polyethylene, cotton yarn and handmade carpets for the domestic market in exchange for a total amount of more than 75.1 million Turkmen manats ($21.4 million).
A total of 52 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
