Turkey's FM heads to Serbia after Iran visit

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu departed from Tehran on Tuesday after completing talks with Iranian officials and is on his way to Serbia , Anadolu Agency reported

Minister Davutoglu had separate meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Secretary General of Iran's Supreme National Council and chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili, Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad and Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.

Among the topics discussed between Davutoglu and Iranian authorities was Iran's nuclear energy activities.

Both Turkey and Iran emphasized the right of all countries to make peaceful use of nuclear energy and their opposition to nuclear weapons wherever they may be during talks between Davutoglu and Iranian officials.

Davutoglu and Iranian authorities declared that the most effective way to resolve issues was diplomacy.

Minister Davutoglu will be in Belgrade for a consultative meeting between Turkey, Spain and Serbia.
