Iran Materials 1 December 2010 17:49 (UTC +04:00)

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here on Wednesday that Iran sets a complete and successful model for developing states, IRNA reported.

Mottaki, addressing the two-day International Donors and Investors Conference for East Sudan, said the Islamic Republic of Iran attaches special importance to Sudan as the biggest African state and one of the most important members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Non Aligned Movement, Arab League and African Union. So, Iran stresses integrity and unity among the country's people, he added.

He said problems in such countries as Sudan are the result of colonialism and modern policies of former colonialist powers, that are ready to take any move possible such as fanning war and clashes among different tribes and hurling obstacles on the way of countries that strive for acquiring new sources of technology and sustainable development.

He said solidarity and understanding among Muslim states and the countries supporting peace and justice worldwide is an undeniable necessity. So doing, the countries can help solve and iron out differences, if any, as foreigners and ill-wishers are after them, he added.
