Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, pardoned 100 political prisoners. It is reported by Mehr News referring to the general prosecutor of Tehran Abbas Jafari Dovletabadi.
According to the report, the pardoned person committed a crime against state security.
As reported by Fars, citing an unnamed source, the arrested protesters were held after the presidential election in 2009.
The names of those pardoned were not disclosed.
From a hundred prisoners pardoned 70 were released, 18 were in respect of terminated execution, and 12 were reduced sentence.
