BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. Iran's product imports from Kazakhstan decreased by 65 percent in value and 64 percent in weight during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same month of last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Customs Administration shows that Iran's imports from Kazakhstan amounted to 71,000 tons worth about $30.9 million during seven months.
The statistics show that Iran imported 201,000 tons of products worth $88.3 million from Kazakhstan during seven months of last year.
Meanwhile, the information adds that Iran imported mainly agricultural products, various equipment, and other products from Kazakhstan.
Iran's imports of non-oil products for seven months amounted to 21.7 million tons worth $40.5 billion.
To note, Iran mainly focuses on importing the products needed by the country and imposes certain restrictions on the importation of products manufactured in the country.
