At least two Iranian ministers have reacted to President Donald Trump’s recent critic remarks against Iran, accusing him of demonstrating fake empathy for the Middle Eastern nation.

“The Iranian government masks a corrupt dictatorship behind the false guise of a democracy,” Trump told the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.

“It [Iranian government] has turned a wealthy country with a rich history and culture into an economically depleted rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos,” the US leader added during his debut speech.

In the meantime, Iranian ICT Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, has took to Twitter to react to Trump’s comments on freedom of internet access in Iran.

“If the US government is concerned about the access of Iranians to internet, then why it [the US] has blocked the access of Iranians to various websites under the pretext of sanctions?” Iranian ICT minister tweeted.

“The entire world understands that the good people of Iran want change, and, other than the vast military power of the United States, that Iran's people are what their leaders fear the most. This is what causes the regime to restrict internet access,” Trump told the UN General Assembly.

Meanwhile, a group of Iranian social media users have joined an online campaign to condemn the American leader’s anti-Iran comments, though a group of users still express support for the US president.

“Only Trump can speak for 40 minutes about destroying a country… and eventually claim that he is fighting for peace,” the above tweet reads.
