Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili called on Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili "to appear before the nation".

"Ivanishvili was not sufficiently informed about the situation in society," Saakashvili told journalists in Batumi calling on the prime minister to appear before the nation following his example.

"I freely walk in the streets of the city and want to call the Georgian Prime Minster to look at this. I clearly see he has no information and is not aware what exactly happens in society. I call upon him to appear before the nation together with me accompanied by a minimum number of guards. Let's walk and talk to the people as I do. It will be useful both for him and for the country," the president noted in Batumi after talking with tourists.

Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili walked in the streets of Batumi together with his spouse and young son. Mikheil Saakashvili and had supper in Piazza Square along with the family members of those who died during the August conflict of 2008.
