Egypt denies any role in attacks occurred near Israel's southern city of Eilat, state media reported on Thursday.
Khalid Fouda, governor of South Sinai said "the distance between Taba, an Egyptian town bordering Israel, and Israeli Eilat port doesn't allow any person to shoot.", Xinhua reported.
He added the Egyptian border with Israel in South Sinai is completely quiet and didn't witness any fires before.
Seven Israelis were found dead and dozens of others wounded in a string of attacks on a civilian bus, a military patrol and a private vehicle in southern Israel.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
