The senior Syrian diplomat in Washington was summoned to the State Department on Monday to review "provocative behavior" regarding a potential transfer of Scud missiles to Hezbollah, a State Department spokesman said, Reuters reported.
"This was the fourth occasion on which these concerns have been raised to the Syrian Embassy in recent months, intended to further amplify our messages communicated to the Syrian government," State Department spokesman Gordon Duguid said in a statement.
