Türkiye estimates volume of exports to Turkic countries

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Türkiye's exports to Turkic states totaled $853.1 million in April 2024, which is 16.7 percent more than in the same month of 2023, the statement of Türkiye's Trade Ministry said, Trend reports.

According to the information, Türkiye's exports to Turkic states totaled $3.2 billion from January through April this year, up 7.9 percent compared to the same period last year.

“Türkiye's imports from Turkic states in April this year decreased by 1.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to $722.3 million,” the ministry's statement said.

Furthermore, for reference, Türkiye's foreign trade turnover reached $48.3 billion in April.

The ministry emphasized that in April 2024, Türkiye's exports increased by 0.1 percent compared to the same month in 2023 to $19.2 billion, while imports rose by 4 percent to $29.1 billion.

“Türkiye's foreign trade turnover reached 195.9 billion from January through April this year,” the statement says.

Besides, the ministry also mentioned that from January through April 2024, Türkiye's exports increased by 2.7 percent compared to the same period in 2023 to $82.8 billion, while imports decreased by 9 percent to $113 billion.

To note, Türkiye's foreign trade turnover reached $617.5 billion last year.

However, in 2023, Türkiye's exports totaled $255.7 billion, up 0.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022, while imports decreased 0.5 percent to $361.7 billion.
