Insulting the faith of Shia and Sunni sects was banned in Iran, said Iran's supreme spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said.
"Nobody has the right to cross this line intentionally or unintentionally, whether Shiite or Sunni sectarian," Ali Khamenei said during his speech in the city Sakkyz of the Kurdistan province of Kurdistan in Iran, MEHR news agency reported.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated about the enemies' treacherous plans aiming to make divisions in relations of the national and religious minorities in Iran, as well as between Iran and other Muslim countries.
"Devious plan has had an impact on some Muslim countries which are under the influence of hegemony states. This plan is not touched upon the Iranian people because of its far-sightedness," the supreme spiritual leader said.
