Azerbaijan's opposition Musavat Party has called on several parties to unite in a political bloc. Musavat Party hold discussions on this topic on Monday.
Various proposals on the matter were presented during the meeting, head of the central executive office of the Musavat Party, Arif Hajili, told Trend. Suggestions have been made to combine into a single political bloc the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP), the Classical Popular Front Party (CPFP), People's Party, Liberty Party and Great Azerbaijan Party.
Musavat Party was established in October 1911 in Baku. On May 28, 1918 in Tbilisi, Musavat Party together with several parties announced the independence of Azerbaijan. In connection with the occupation of Azerbaijan by the Red Army in 1920, Musavat Party proceeded to the secret activities.
