Kyrgyzstan is getting ready to mark Independence Day on August 31, Elmira Imanalieva, the vice-mayor of Bishkek told reporters Wednesday.
The agenda of the festive event includes morning (10:00-13:00) and evening (19:00-22:00) concerts of local pop stars and a traditional fireworks display at the Ala-Too square, "24.kg" reported.
The Old Square of Bishkek is likely to hold a food and products fair. Meanwhile, celebrations will take part in every park of the city.
