The sixth Congress of the Azerbaijani Community of Meskhetian Turks Veten is expected to be held in Baku on December 2, 2006, Ibrahim Burkhanov, Chairman of the Community told Trend.
Mr. Burkhanov said that officials of Azerbaijan and Georgia, representatives of the Georgian Embassy to Azerbaijan, as well as gusts from Turkey, and members of the Milli Majlis(Azerbaijan Parliament) have been invited to participate in the forthcoming event. According to the Chairman of Veten, the agenda of the forthcoming Congress will include the following issues: moving amendments to the Chamber of the Organization, choosing the new Board and the Council.
Community Veten was established in 1993. 70.000 people are members of the Community.
