Azerbaijan shares revenue data to state budget through customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee increased by 24.6 percent in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee.

Committee said that these revenues exceeded 2.5 billion manat ($1.4 billion) in the reporting period.

According to the committee, revenues from customs duties to the state budget increased by 14.4 percent, or 80.7 million manat ($47.4 million) from January through June 2022 (more than 638.3 million manat or $375.4 million) compared to the same period last year.

Revenues from VAT amounted to 1.8 billion manat or $1.05 billion (an increase of 30.4 percent compared from January through June 2021), from excises - 69.9 million manat or $41.1 million (a decrease over the year by 10.1 percent), from road tax - 28.6 million manat or $16.8 million (an increase of 38.2 percent over the year).

The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan fulfilled the forecast for state budget revenues by 111.2 percent in 2021.

Amount transferred to the state budget in excess of the forecast amounted to 440.3 million manat ($259 million).
