ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 9. KazMunayGas-Aero, Kazakhstan's leading aviation fuel supplier, has entered into an agreement with BioOperations LLP to jointly develop and produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Trend reports.
The BioOperations plant, located in the city of Taiynsha in North Kazakhstan, is recognized as a regional leader in deep grain processing. The plant’s key advantage lies in its ready access to raw materials, primarily grains, which are in abundance in the region. The plant’s strategic location along major roads and railways further optimizes its logistics, ensuring an efficient supply chain for fuel production.
BioOperations is known for producing high-quality bioethanol, a renewable and environmentally friendly biofuel derived from plant materials. This biofuel, which is increasingly in demand worldwide, is already widely used in European Union countries and the UK. In addition to meeting local needs, BioOperations exports its bioethanol to the EU and the UK.
The Taiynsha plant not only processes various types of grains but also makes use of by-products from the deep grain processing process, such as gluten and starch, ensuring minimal waste and a fully integrated production system. With this new collaboration, the company is set to play a key role in meeting global sustainability goals, including the aviation sector's need for cleaner fuel alternatives.
